I had the great good fortune to visit the Celtic exhibition in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh earlier this year. It was amazing. I saw the Gundestrup Cauldron and many other artefacts which are in all the books on the Celts. Better still, it was remarkably free of the kind of childish Celto-scepticism that seems to have dominated British archaeology for decades.
